Hi Susan!

I don't necessarily have a favorite because I am an intermediate knitter/crocheter, but I do want to learn more stitches for different types of pieces.

What I am wondering is if you know if there is a detailed chart of the types of yarn available and for what types of projects they are best used? A couple of times, I've picked a yarn for its color and discovered it wasn't the right type for that project. Some of the patterns here will give yarn details, but for others, I will try to find information about what's best to use. I know once I reach that expert level, I will probably just know intuitively. Lol But for now…
