  • Yarn: Bernat Baby Blanket Big Ball, 100% Polyester, 300g (10.6oz), 201m (220yds) in Colour A: Vanilla (4008) and also Colour B: Baby Lilac (4310). Approximately 200g of each colour needed.
  • Hook: 8.00mm (US 11)
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle

Terms & Abbreviations

Chain (ch): Yarn over, pull through loop on the hook.

Slip Stitch (ss): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook.

Half Treble Crochet(s) (htr(s)): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining three loops.

Instructions

Using Colour A

Chain 53 plus 2 for turning (turning ch does not count as a st)

Row 1: Htr in 3rd ch from hook and then in each ch across. Then turn your work. [53 sts]

Row 2: Ch 2 (Counts as a st here and throughout). Htr in next st and then each st across. Then turn. [53 sts]

Row 3-12: Repeat row 2.

Colour Change

Finally, tie off colour A and then join colour B with ss.

From this point forward you will be repeating row 2 using the indicated colour.

Colour Row Breakdown

Row 13-15: Colour B.

Row 16-17: Colour A.

Row 18: Colour B.

Row 19: Colour A.

Row 20-21: Colour B.

Row 22-24: Colour A.

Row 25-36: Colour B.

Finally, tie off the yarn and then sew in the ends.
