Stitching Instructions for Making the Bunny Blanket Buddy Pattern:

Starting at lower corner:

  • Ch 2.

Repeat Pattern: 8. Rows 7-17:

  • Continue increasing by working 2 sc in the first and last sc of each row while maintaining the ch-1 sps – ending with 31 sc and 2 ch-1 sps.

Add Paws: 9.

  • Row 18 (paw): Ch 15, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch, 2 sc in next sc, sc across to ch-1 sp, sc in ch-1 sp, sc across to next ch-1 sp, sc in ch-1 sp, sc to end – 47 sc and 2 ch-1 sps. 10.

Shape Blanket Body: 11.

  • Rows 23-27: Begin decreasing by working sc2tog at the start and end of each row and maintaining the ch-1 sps – 23 sc and 2 ch-1 sps. 13.
  • Row 28: Ch 1, turn, work (sc3tog) 8 times – 9 sc.

SHAPE HEAD

  • Rnd 29: Ch 1, working in FLO, 2 sc in first st, sc across; turn to work in BLO, 2 sc in first st, sc across – 20 sc.
  • Rnds 30-31: 2 sc in first sc, sc across – 24 sc.
  • Rnds 32-35: Sc around evenly – 24 sc.
  • Rnd 36: Sc2tog, sc in next sc; repeat around – 16 sc.
  • Rnd 37: (Sc2tog) around – 8 sc.
  • Rnd 38: (Sc2tog) around; sl st to close – 4 sc.
  • Stuff head lightly with fiberfill and close with a drawstring.

EARS (Make 2)

  • Join yarn: Sl st to side of head, ch 17.
  • Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across; join to head with sl st – 16 sc.
  • Row 2: Turn, sc across to last 2 sc, sc2tog – 15 sc.
  • Row 3: Turn, sc2tog, sc across; join to head with sl st – 14 sc.
  • Row 4: Turn, sc across to last 4 sc, sl st in last 4 sc. Fasten off.
  • Repeat for second ear.

FINISHING

  • Embroider the face using black worsted weight yarn.
