Tea bag bookmark dimensions: approximately 2 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide.
Modify length by altering chain count.
Vary tea bag colors for different tea flavors.
Instructions
The tea bag bookmark crochet pattern starts with a chain, but is worked in rounds not rows.
To start: With the tea colored yarn, ch x7
Round 1: In the second chain from the hook make a sc. Sc in each of the next 4 chains. In the last stitch make 3 sc into the stitch. This will help you round your corner to get to the otherside of the chain. Then sc for the next 4 chains. In the last stitch make an increase. (14)
Round 2-5: Sc in each stitch. (14) Then fasten off the tea colored yarn and join the white yarn.
Round 6-7: Sc in every stitch. (14)
Round 8: Dec, sc x3, dec x 2, sc x3, dec. (10)
Round 9: Dec x5. (5)
Fasten off your yarn but leave enough to sew the top of the tea bag closed. Then sew the tea bag closed.
Now you want to rejoin the yarn to the top middle of the tea bag and ch x60.
In the 3rd chain from the hook make a dc. Dc x2 and then make a sl st. Fasten off and weave in any ends.
And now you have a tea bag bookmark! Happy crocheting! Stay caffeinated!
