With some soft yarn, a crochet hook, and a bit of patience, you can bring to life a charming bunny that will bring smiles to everyone's faces. Whether you're a seasoned crocheter or a beginner looking for a new project, creating a Crochet Easter Bunny is a great way to embrace the festive spirit and spread joy to your loved ones. So, grab your materials and get ready to craft some hoppy goodness!
Materials
To make the Easter Bunny you will need:
– A 2.5mm Crochet hook
– Yarn in your prefered colors for the bunny and the egg; white for the egg shell; brown and beige for the paint brush; black thread for the eyes and mouth
– Felting supplies and felting wool in your desired colors
– A tapestry needle and scissors
– Stuffing
– A stitch marker to help you keep track of the start of the round
– Optional: A wire for the paintbrush
Please note that you can make the Easter Bunny using any size crochet hook and yarn weight for a smaller or bigger result. I like using DK as it’s most commonly available. If you make amigurumi, it is usually recommended to go down a bit from the recommended hook size for the yarn to allow for a no-hole look (we don’t want to see the stuffing show through in between stitches)! Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm crochet hook, the Easter Bunny should be about 20cm tall.

The pattern is written using US crochet terms in continuous spirals. You will need to know the following kinds of stitches to make him:

– Decrease (dec); preferably using the invisible decrease method

Assembly
First of all, sew the head to the body. Then, sew on the feet, then the arms, then the standing ear. Take the egg shell and check where you want it positioned; then sew the flopping ear to that place first, then the egg shell on top. Sew on the tail. Embroider a cute little face, and now, take out your felting supplies and add some COLOR! Go as wild as you like. When you’re done, sew the egg to the feet of the bunny, then sew the paint brush to one of its arms. Done!
