- 4 mm Crochet Hook
- Tapestry Needle (to sew the ends)
Abbreviations:
- ch- chain
- sc- single crochet
- hdc- half double crochet
- tr - triple crochet
- ss- slip stitch
- surface stitch
Size:
- Sun - approx. 4" length, approx. 2.5" Height
- Cloud - approx. 4" length, approx. 1.5" Height
Pattern:
SUN:
{With yellow color yarn}
- Ch 2
- 4 SC in the second chain from the hook. [4]
- Ch 1. Turn. 2 SC in each stitch. [8]
- Ch 1. Turn. *(1 SC in the first stitch, 2 SC in the next)*. Repeat from *to* till end. [12]
- Ch 2. Turn. *(1 HDC in the first two stitches, 2 HDC in the next)*. Repeat from *to* till end. [16]
- Turn. SS in the first stitch. Ch 5. *{SC in the second chain from the hook, HDC in the next, DC in the next and TR in the last, Skip 2 stitches from the previous round and SS}*. [Ch 5 in the same stitch as SS and repeat the process from *to*]. Do this 3 more times.
- Surface stitch around on Round 5 (HDC round)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
CLOUD:
{With whitecolor yarn}
- Ch 12 + 1 [13]
- SC in the second chain from the hook till end and 4 SC in the last chain, (while working on the other side) 1 SC in each and 2 SC in the last stitch. SS with the first SC made. [28]
- Ch 2 (doesn't count as DC). 6 DC in the same, skip 1 stitch, 1 SC in the next stitch, skip one stitch, *(6 DC in the next stitch, skip 1 stitch, 1 SC in the next stitch, skip one stitch)*. Repeat from *to* 3 times.
- Then, 1 SC in the next 11 stitches. SS with the first DC made.
Join the cloud with the sun. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
