45 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 1
30 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 2
45 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 3
5.00mm Clover crochet hook

TENSION – 2 pattern rpts and 3 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Using 5.00mm hook and colour 1, make 40ch loosely, work (1dc, 1tr) into 2nd ch from hook, * miss 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn. (19 groups)
Pattern Row – 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, (1dc, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last tr and dc, miss tr, 1dc into last dc. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row in colour sequence as follows:-
Eight more times in colour 1
# Twice in colour 2
Ten more times in colour 3
Twice in colour 2
Ten more times in colour 1 #
Rpt from # to # twice. Fasten off. Turn.
Edging – Join in colour 2, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to last dc, 3dc into last dc, working down first side of runner, work 1dc into row end to corner, 3dc into corner, work 1dc into each ch along cast on edge to corner, 3dc into corner, work 1dc into each row end up second side of runner to corner, ss to first dc. Turn.
Next Row – 1ch, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * around all four sides of runner to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim off.
