Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "GEM" HAT & BAG YARN, Article 144
1 skein each Red and White and
"STAR" SIX STRAND EMBROIDERY COTTON, Article 50
2 skeins each Bright Red and Lt. Emerald will make 2 handle holders.
Steel crochet hooks No. 00 and No. 7.

With White and No. 00 hook ch 13, s c in 3rd st from hook, s c in next st of ch, * ch 1, skip 1 st of ch, 1 s c in each of the next 2 sts, repeat from * twice, ch 2, turn.
2nd Row. Skip 1st s c, 2 s c in next s c, * ch 1, skip next ch 1 and next s c, 2 s c in next s c (pattern), repeat from * twice (4 patterns), ch 2, turn. Repeat the 2nd row until work measures 6 inches from beginning.
Next 2 Rows. Decrease 1 pattern at beginning of each row (to decrease: skip 1 s c, s c in next s c, skip 1 s c, s c in next s c), ch 2, turn.
Next Row. Skip 1 s c, s c in next s c, s c in next s c, sl st in next s c, cut yarn. Work another section in same manner. With Red Yarn crochet the 2 sections together with s c starting at side and working up right hand side, around top, down opposite side, then work around each side of lower edge, cut yarn.

FLOWER: With "STAR" SIX STRAND EMBROIDERY COTTON and No. 7 hook with Red ch 2, 5 s c in 2nd st from hook, join in 1st s c, * ch 3, 2 tr c in same space, ch 3, sl st in same space, sl st in next s c, repeat from * 4 times, cut thread. Work another flower in same manner.

LEAVES: With Green and No. 7 hook, * ch 12, s c in 2nd st from hook, s d c in next st of ch (s d c: thread over hook, insert in st, pull through, thread over and pull through all loops at one time), 1 d c in each of the next 6 sts of ch, 1 s d c in next st, 1 s c in each of the next 2 sts of ch, do not cut thread, repeat from * 3 times, cut thread. Work another group of leaves in same manner. Sew in position on holder arranging as illustrated. With Green cover a bone ring in s c and sew to top of holder.
