Size: 38/42.

You will need: yarn (40% modal, 30% polyamide, 15% cashmere wool, 15% silk; 100 m/50 g) – 1000 g green; crochet hooks No. 6 and 7; 3 decorative buttons with a diameter of 30 mm.

Main pattern. The number of initial chain stitches is a multiple of 8 + 1.

Crochet according to the chart. Start with 1 chain stitch for lifting and the stitches before the repeat, repeat the pattern, finish with the stitches after the repeat.

In height, work rows 1 to 6 once, then repeat rows 3 to 6.

Gauge: 17 initial chain stitches x 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm, crocheted with hook No. 6; 14.5 stitches x 8.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm, crocheted with hook No. 7.

Note: All parts are crocheted from top to bottom. The back and front pieces are crocheted as one piece from the armholes.

Instructions for Crocheting a Lace Cardigan for Women

First, with hook No. 6, for the upper part of the back, make an initial chain of 73 chain stitches + 1 chain stitch for lifting and crochet with the main pattern.

After 17 cm = 15 rows from the initial row, additionally cast on 8 chain stitches on each side for the armholes and set the stitches aside = 89 stitches.

For the collar of the right front piece, with hook No. 6, make an initial chain of 17 chain stitches + 1 chain stitch for lifting and crochet with the main pattern.

After 9 cm = 8 rows from the initial row, additionally cast on 24 chain stitches on the right side for the shoulder and continue crocheting with the main pattern = 41 stitches.

After 17 cm = 15 rows from the beginning of the shoulder, additionally cast on 8 stitches on the right side for the armhole, set the stitches aside = 49 stitches.

Crochet the left front piece in the same way.

Then crochet on the stitches of all pieces: 6 repeats of the right front piece, 11 repeats of the back, 6 repeats of the left front piece.

After 24 cm = 21 rows from the initial row of the back, continue working with hook No. 7.

After 53 cm = 45 rows from the hook change, finish the work.

Sleeves. With hook No. 6, make an initial chain of 57 chain stitches + 1 chain stitch for lifting for each sleeve and crochet with the main pattern.

After 27 cm = 24 rows, switch to hook No. 7 and after 49 cm from the initial row, finish the work.

Assembly. Sew the shoulder seams over a width of 14 cm.

Sew the collar seam on the back and insert the collar into the back neckline.

Sew the sleeve seams, leaving the top 4.5 cm open.

Sew in the sleeves, while sewing the open upper 4.5 cm of the sleeves into the armholes.

Crochet the edges of the fastening, including the edges of the collar, with 1 row of double crochet and 1 row of "crab stitch" (reverse single crochet).

Sew the buttons to the edge of the left front piece (the bottom button at a distance of 40 cm from the bottom edge, the other buttons at an interval of 5 cm). Fasten the buttons through the holes in the pattern.
