Materials
- Size 10 cotton thread
- For yo-yo’s: you can use a different color for each yo-yo, or do them all the same color
- For joining & edging: white, black or ecru (or the color of your choice)
- Crochet hook size 4 or size needed to achieve gauge
Gauge: Unedged yo-yo measures about 7/8” across
Finished size: About 7” long x 1 1/2” wide
Pattern note: Work tightly for best results. Work over thread ends whenever possible.
Yo-yo’s (make 6)
Ch 6; join with a sl st to the first ch to form a ring
Round 1: Ch 4 to count as the first trc, work 17 more trc in the ring; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 4. (18 trc) Fasten off.
Joining round
First yo-yo: Join edging color with a sc in any trc, ch 3, (sc in the next trc, ch 3) 17 times; join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off.
Second yo-yo: Join edging color with a sc in any trc, (ch 3, sc in the next trc,) 7 times, ch 1, sc (inserting hook from back to front) in any ch-3 sp on the first yo-yo, ch 1, sc in the next trc on the 2nd yo-yo, ch 1, sc in the next ch-3 sp on the first yo-yo, ch 1, sc in the next trc on the 2nd yo-yo, ch 3, (sc in the next trc on the 2nd yo-yo, ch 3) 8 times; join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off.
