Crochet Baby Lamb

Size: Approximately 8" tall
Materials:
--4.5mm hook
--#4 worsted weight yarn in gray and black (I used "I Love This Yarn" from Hobby Lobby
--Bernat's Pipsqueak Yarn in white
--polyfil
--2 animal eyes (optional: crochet eyes)
--tapestry needle for weaving
U.S. Stitch Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
St: stitch(es)
SC: single crochet
SC2tog: Single Crochet 2 stitches together (creates decrease)
TC: triple crochet
MR: magic ring
FO: fasten off
Directions:
- This pattern is worked in the round, so use a stitch marker (I use a bobby pin...lol) to keep track of your beginning and ending rounds; move stitch marker up with the first stitch of each new round.
A. Head/Body:
(made in one piece)
1. With gray yarn, 6 SC into MR. (6)
2. 2 SC in each st around. (12)
3. 2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next st. Rep around. (18)
4. 2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next 2 st. Rep around. (24)
5. 2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next 3 st. Rep around. (30)
6-11. 1 SC in each st around. (30)
12. SC2tog, 1 SC in next 3 st. Rep around. (24)
13. SC2tog, 1 SC in next 2 st. Rep around. (18)
14. SC2tog, 1 SC in next st. Rep around. (12)
- place eyes between Rounds 7 and 8 with 4 stitch gap between the eyes
- stuff with polyfil
16. With Pipsqueak yarn, 2 SC in each st around. (12)
17. 2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next st. Rep around. (18)
18. 2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next 2 st. Rep around. (24)
19-22. 1 SC in each st around. (24)
23. SC2tog, 1 SC in next 2 st. Rep around. (18)

- stuff with polyfil
25. SC2tog 6 times. FO. Leave tail to weave in and out of last round to close up opening.
B. Arms (make 2):
1. With black yarn, 6 SC into MR. (6)
2. 2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next st. Rep around. FO black and join gray yarn. (9)
3-8. 1 SC in each st around. At the end of Round 8, FO and leave a tail for attaching. Stuff with polyfil before attaching. (9)
C. Legs (make 2):
1. With black yarn, 6 SC into MR. (6)
2. 2 SC in each st around. FO black and join gray yarn. (12)
3. With gray yarn, 1 SC in each st around. (12)
4-6. 1 SC in each st around. At the end of Round 6, FO and leave a tail for attaching. Stuff with polyfil before attaching.
D. Ears (make 2):
1. With gray yarn, 6 SC into MR. (6)
2-6. 1 SC in each st around. At the end of Round 6, FO and leave a tail for attaching. Do NOT stuff.
E. Hair:
1. With Pipsqueak yarn, 6 SC into MR. (6)
2. 2 SC in each st around. (12)
3. 2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next st. Rep around. (18)
4. *TC in first st, SC in next st, sl st into next st.* Rep from * to * around. Sl st join to first st and FO. Leave tail for attaching to the top of the head, between the ears.
F. Nose:
1. With black yarn, Ch5. SC in 2nd ch from hook and into the next 2 ch. 3 SC in the last ch. Rotate to work on opposite side of base ch. SC in the next 2 ch. 2 SC in the last ch. (10)
2. 1 SC in each st around. FO and leave tail for attaching. Stuff with a small amount of polyfil when attaching. (10)
G. Mouth:
1. I used black to embroider mouth.
