Pattern
:
Row 1: Ch 2, hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 2, turn. (1)
Row 2: 3 hdc in same stitch. Ch 2, turn. (3)
Row 3: 2 hdc in first, hdc in 1, 2 hdc in last. Ch 2, turn. (5)
Row 4: 2 hdc, hdc in 3, 2 hdc. Ch 2, turn. (7)
Row 5: 2 hdc, hdc in 5, 2 hdc. Ch 2, turn. (9)
Row 6: 2 hdc, hdc in 7, 2 hdc. Ch 2, turn. (11)
Row 7: 2 hdc, hdc in 9, 2 hdc. Ch 2, turn. (13)
Row 8: 2 hdc, hdc in 11, 2 hdc. Ch 2, turn. (15)

After you have turned your piece over count from right to the left and place a stitch marker in the 16th stitch. You should have 13 stitches to the left of the marker and 15 to the right. Leave stitch marker in place, you will be coming back to this stitch later.
Row 16: Hdc in 12, hdc2tog. Ch 2, turn. (13)
Row 17: Hdc in each across. Ch 2, turn. (13)
Row 18: Hdc2tog, hdc in 9, hdc2tog. Ch 2, turn. (11)
Row 19: Hdc in 9, hdc2tog. Ch 2, turn. (10)
Row 20: Hdc2tog, hdc in 6, hdc2tog. Ch 2, turn. (8)
Row 21: Hdc in 6, hdc2tog. Ch 2, turn. (7)
Row 22: Hdc2tog, hdc in 3, hdc2tog. Ch 1, turn. (5)
Row 23: Sc2tog, sc in 1, sc2tog. (3)
Fasten off.
Turn piece.
Join yarn with a ss to the stitch you placed a stitch marker in. Remove stitch marker.
You will have 1 stitch un-worked to the right of where the stitch marker was.
Row 24: Ch 1, hdc2tog, hdc in 12. Ch 2, turn. (13)
Row 25: Hdc in each across. Ch 2, turn. (13)
Row 26: Hdc2tog, hdc in 9, hdc2tog. Ch 2, turn. (11)
Row 27: Hdc2tog, hdc in 9. Ch 2, turn. (10)
Row 28: Hdc2tog, hdc in 6, hdc2tog. Ch 2, turn. (8)
Row 29: Hdc2tog, hdc in 6. Ch 2, turn. (7)
Row 30: Hdc2tog, hdc in 3, hdc2tog. Ch 1, turn. (5)
Row 31: Sc2tog, sc in 1, sc2tog. (3)
Do not fasten off just yet.
Ch 1 and sc around the entire edge. At the top of the heart where you have 3 stitches work 2 sc in the first, 1 sc in the next, 2 sc in the last. At the bottom tip of the heart work 2 or 3 sc.
After you make your way around the entire heart ss to join.

Fasten off & sew in ends.
