Pattern Notes

  • Using a magic ring to start the project is not recommended, because it can be pulled too tight and distorts the look of the center ring.

Instructions

  • Foundation - Ch12, sl st in 1st st to join and form a ring.
  • Round 1 - Ch3 (counts as dc) 31dc in ring, sl st in top of ch-3 to join. [32dc]
  • Round 2 - (Ch3, 1dc) in next st, ch5, * sk 1 st, 1 dc in each of the next 3-sts, ch5, rpt from * 6 more times, sk 1-st and make 1dc in st next to ch-3, sl st in top of ch3 to join. [8 x ch5 sps]
  • Round 3 - Ch1, sc in next st (the 2nd dc), ch1, (1hdc, 6dc, 1hdc) in ch-5 sp, ch2, *sk 1-st, sc in next st (the 2nd dc), ch 1, (1hdc, 6dc, 1hdc) in ch-5 sp, ch1, rpt from * 6 more times, sl st in ch1, cut yarn and fasten off.
  • Finish - Use a yarn needle to weave in the tail ends and use your hand to press the flower coaster flat.
