GAUGE - 4dc and 2 rows of dc measures approx 1 Inch

Rug - With 6.00mm hook and main color yarn ch101, change to 5.00mm hook, 1dc in 4th
ch from hook, * skip 2ch's, 1dc in next ch, ch3, work 3dc around the post of the last dc
made, skip 2ch's, 1dc in each of next 4ch's, * rpt from * to * to last 4ch's, skip 2ch's, 1dc
in each of last 2ch's. Turn. (11, post 3dc groups).
Row 1 - ch3, 1dc in next dc, ch2, * skip 3dc, 1sc in top of ch3 on post 3dc group, ch2, 1dc
in each of next 4dc, ch2, * rpt from * to * to last post 3dc group, dc and ch3 to turn with,
skip 3dc, 1sc in top of ch3, ch2, 1dc in dc, 1dc in top of ch3 for turning. Turn.
Row 2 - ch3, 1dc in next dc, * skip ch2, 1dc in next sc, ch3, work 3dc around the post of

last dc, 3 slip stitches in top of ch3 for turning, working in row ends down first side of rug, work 2 slip stitches in each row end to corner, 3 slip stitches in corner, working along cast
on edge work a slip stitch in next dc, rpt from * to * to last ch2 space, sc, ch2 space and

Fourth Row - ch3, * 1dcf in next dc, 1dcb in next dc * (see abbrev for dcf & dcb) rpt from
* to * around all four sides of rug, working 3dc in corners, 1dc in base of ch3, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Fifth Row - Join in main color, ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc around four sides
to end, working 3sc in corners, 1sc in base of ch1, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.
Sixth Row - Rpt Fifth Row. Turn. Fasten off.
Seventh-Eighth Row - Join in contrast color 1 and rpt Fifth Row. Fasten off.

With RS facing and working left to right work one row of crab stitch (see abbrev) around all four sides of rug, working 3 stitches in each corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
