  • Yarn: 30 yards 100% cotton per cloth. Sample yarn: Peaches & Creme Stripey Green Stripes
  • Crochet Hook: I (5.5mm)
  • Misc: Yarn needle
  • Measurement: 4.5″ square (or close)

SC/Single Crochet Cloth Directions

  1. With an H hook and cotton yarn, ch 15, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (14sts)
  2. Ch 1, turn, sc in the same st and in each st across.
  3. Repeat the previous row for an additional 12 rows (14 total from starting edge).
  4. This step is worked around the outer edge of the cloth. Ch 1, do not turn, sc in the same st, sc 12 sts evenly spaced down the side of the cloth. (sc, ch 1, sc) in the first st of the beginning row, sc in each st across until 1 st remains, (sc, ch 1, sc) in the last st. Sc 12 sts evenly spaced up the side of the cloth. (sc, ch 1, sc) in the first st of the last row, sc in each st across. Sl st in the first st to join. Finish off and weave in ends.

HDC/Half Double Crochet Cloth Directions

  1. With an H hook and cotton yarn, ch 15, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (14sts)

  3. Repeat the previous row for an additional 12 rows (14 total from starting edge).
